The party added that in the course of achieving this, it has created new ward offices in Garki and has received numbers of defectors from other political parties.

Garki Council Chairman, Adamu Hudu Kore, speaking to press on Wednesday said the party’s secretariat has been commissioned in readiness for the elections.

Garki LGA has 11 wards and Kore claimed every ward will have its secretariat.

The chairman told journalists that two ward offices would be opened every month until the exercise was completed across the local government.

The offices, he said, will serve as a base for party activity and interaction with the population inside the wards, especially for party members.

Garki is an APC member, said Kore, while Jigawa is still firmly under the party’s control.

He reiterated his administration’s commitment to developing democratic institutions and offering opportunities for political involvement at the grassroots.
