On Thursday, Nasir Idris, the governor of Kebbi State, travelled to the Dandi Local Government Area to inspect the roads that had been washed away by the recent downpour.
The statement was issued by Yahaya Sarki, who is the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor of Kebbi State.
The Kingakwai-Fana-Dakingari Road and the Fana Township Road, which links Fana town to nearby communities, are among the routes that are impacted.
Engr. Abdullahi Umar Faruk, the commissioner for works, and Hon. Dr. Suleiman Fana, the area representative in the Kebbi State House of Assembly, informed the governor of the damage’s magnitude during the inspection.
Representing the region in the Kebbi State House of Assembly, Hon. Dr. Suleiman Fana, and the Commissioner for Works, Engr. Abdullahi Umar Faruk, apprised the Governor of the damage caused by the downpour at the Kingakwai-Fana-Dakingari Road, as stated in the statement.
To fix the road and lessen the likelihood of further erosion, the Commissioner for Works suggested that the government build more culverts and other engineering features.
Assuring locals that the government will work quickly to resolve the issue, Governor Idris toured the impacted districts with the help of Ambassador Sa’idu Usman Nasamu Dakingari and other government officials.
