Why I switched my allegiance from Peter Obi to Adebayo in 2027—Prophet El-Buba

Prophet Isa El-Buba, a revered Nigerian cleric, has clarified his decision to switch allegiance from the Nigeria Democratic Congress’s Peter Obi to the Social Democratic Party’s Prince Adewole Adebayo, in the run-up to the 2027 general election.

He thinks Adebayo can better serve the interests of Nigerians than Obi can.

This information was revealed in a statement he recently provided to DAILY POST on Wednesday.

A one-party state is something that Nigeria must avoid, the cleric said.

His worries about the country’s condition stemmed from his disappointment that millions of Nigerians are still struggling with issues like poverty, unemployment, social injustice, and insecurity, despite the country’s rich natural and human resources.

He claims that the continuous denial of possibilities for growth, decent education, and economic prosperity to citizens—particularly young people—has been a result of a series of leadership failures.

“Despite the country’s wealth of natural resources, bright citizens, and enormous untapped potential, millions of Nigerians continue to endure fear, unemployment, poverty, and unfair treatment,” he declared.

“We must come together now to change the course of history.” Experiencing “pain, frustration, and clueless leadership” is something Nigeria cannot sustain, he emphasised.

A one-party state is not an option for Nigeria. In a just and equitable society, no system can last. “Stability can never be achieved through oppression, and peace cannot flourish when injustice is present,” he proclaimed.
